History | “Teníamos un sueño…” We have a dream.
We wanted to live in a place that we loved and work in something that we enjoy. So we live where we love to, and cooking is what we enjoy. Tapas del Mar was founded by Anna Larisa Calotescu Ion and Josep Batalla Zorita in 2009 and it couldn´t have been imagined without all that surrounds us and thus forms part of our history. From the Costa Brava, the Mediterrean Sea, our mother´s, our grandmother´s, and our ancestor´s kitchens. Our kitchen is based on respect, tradition and local produce. We put all our effort and love in it and we are sure that it is the best we can possibly offer to the people that come into our home. Welcome to our on-line web. We are an intimate cozy restaurant in which we have instilled our way of thinking, living and enjoying the gastronomy and the life. We hope to transmit all the illusion and the pleasure we enjoy daily from the Mediterrean Sea of Tossa de Mar. From the small town with old Marine traditions that blend between the sea and the mountains of the Costa Brava. We are passionate working with the best primary materials that our land offers us. We are unique and we hope to transmit this. For us, the most important is that our clients leave content and wish to come back to our home, our town, the Costa Brava. For this, we still have the same illusion as the first day, intending to transmit this spirit to all our clients and friends so that they enjoy our cuisine and pleasurable moments the life offers.
